Apple cinnamon egg porridge

Warming bowl of goodness! Using an egg adds choline, b vits and protein - all essential first thing in the morning.

Ingredients

  • 50g oats
  • 1/2 grated apple
  • 1 small tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 egg
  • 150ml almond milk
  • 1 tsp peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed
  • (optional vanilla extract)

Method

  1. Place everything apart from the egg in a pan and heat gently whilst stirring
  2. After 3 minutes crack the egg and mix well
  3. Cook for further 2 minutes 
  4. Serve with peanut or almond butter and flaxseed
