Apple cinnamon egg porridge

Warming bowl of goodness! Using an egg adds choline, b vits and protein - all essential first thing in the morning.

Ingredients

  • 20g oats

  • 1/3 grated apple

  • 1 small tsp of cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp ginger

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 egg

  • 2 egg whites

  • 1 tbsp almond butter

  • 1 tsp flaxseed

  • 150ml almond milk

Method

  1. Place everything apart from the egg and egg whites in a pan and heat gently whilst stirring

  2. After 3 minutes crack the egg and pour the egg whites in and mix well

  3. Cook for further 2 minutes

  4. Serve with peanut or almond butter and flaxseed
